When I write to a person the first time, I would spend the time to give a personal first couple of paragraphs. After which, I will go into the details that someone may want to know. This looks like a copy and paste situation, and if you guessed that, you would be correct. The reason for this is I want to give everyone an opportunity to learn about me without mistakes. This initial letter will create a couple of pages of detail, so it might look like a form letter even if it wasn’t. I do value the time and effort of a person that wrote to me, and future letters will be given the time it deserves.
